Owner/Trainer: Jason Lepore (B.S.,MPH,MPS-C)

Jason grew up on a multi-generation family owned equitation training farm where he developed a deep passion for the profession of equine training from a young child. In addition to Jason’s experience with handling and training horses, he has earned a BS in Biological Health Sciences, a Masters in Public Health, and Masters degree courses in Animal Science and Behavior with an equine concentration.

Jason’s concentrated areas of study include equine veterinary care, equine behavior and modification, advanced techniques in equine training, equine nutrition, and equitation science.

Jason has experience working as an equine veterinary technician where he worked side by side with some of the best veterinarians, specialists, and surgeons learning and honing his skills in providing equine medical care, maintenance, and husbandry as a professional.

We are thrilled to introduce Emma Hathaway as a dedicated and experienced assistant horse trainer to the Double Helix team. Emma’s journey into the world of horse training began at a young age, where she developed a deep passion for training and riding these magnificent animals. Over the years, she has worked tirelessly to refine her understanding of equine behavior, biomechanics, and training methodologies, drawing from both traditional and modern techniques to create a comprehensive approach tailored to each horse's unique needs. Emma’s disciplinary passion as a professional barrel racer has allowed her to hone her skills in this discipline, and expands our abilities to provide advanced level lessons in the barrel racing discipline to take your skills to the next level.
